When I was in elementary, I was picked on almost constantly. I can't tell you how many times I had cried in school. When I got to junior high, I had this think outer shell and never let anything get to me. The only time I let it down was when I was with my friends because I knew if they teased me, they meant nothing by it. Everyone knew it meant nothing and it was just our sense of humor. I got to high school with still a strong outer shell but was comfortable letting it down around friends. And now, in senior year, it's almost gone.
